AKO BUILD LIMITED
Specialist Ministry of Education Main Contractor
Named after the principal of teaching and learning, AKO Build recognise the reciprocal nature of building spaces and learning about who the people of these spaces are.
The people who use the buildings for teaching and learning, and their whanau, are the people we serve.
We also get to know the management team that help work together to provide these spaces for our people.
Our tamariki are our future, and it is an honour to be able to invest in our youth and provide them with quality facilities. We exist to help serve this part of our community.
The AKO difference:
We have staff who are qualified teachers and can provide a teaching session to the students to understand what is going on in their school. We hope to educate the staff and students about the building process and the developments we are undertaking. This can be in a school assembly, classroom lesson, or provide resource and a lesson plan, specific to each school.
We want to give back to the school community that has welcomed us into their home, and will work with the school to find an appropriate way to demonstrate our thankfulness. This could be further repairs, furniture, equipment, or a financial contribution.
We are intentionally small, so that we can deliver the same quality service, with the same expert subcontractors, without the same level of expenses.
